2022 Ooze Foundation Holiday Season Events

The Ooze Foundation was founded by the Cannatron team through our Partner Brand Ooze back in 2019. As we continue to grow (with your help!), we have even more of a responsibility to give back to our community. Our 2022 events that took place right here in Detroit were more successful than ever!

 

Oozegiving

 Cars are going through the Ooze Foundation Oozegiving food drive line to pick up their bag of Thanksgiving sides, turkey, and pie.

In an effort to lighten the load, even just for a day, we served up good food and fun this Oozegiving. Ooze’s annual Food Drive through the Ooze Foundation, otherwise known as Oozegiving, is one of our favorite ways to give back to Detroit.

This year like years past, we provided Thanksgiving dinners directly to people in our community. Enough for 300 families, to be exact! We didn’t leave anything out, either—each dinner included a turkey, stuffing, mac and cheese, cans of veggies, green bean casserole and a sweet potato pie.

Oozemas

We love to spread holiday cheer at the Ooze Foundation, no matter what it takes. Even in the midst of COVID, we made sure we had a warehouse full of toys for underprivileged kids in Detroit, masked up, and set up our toy drive-thru. This year, we got to have a little more fun with it.

The Ooze elves started preparing weeks in advance and set up shop at the Heilman Community Center in Detroit. We wrapped all the donated toys in the warehouse, which took a team of dozens a few days to complete, ultimately adding up to 1,000 gifts!

The most exciting part is that we got to host a big party along with the drive like we did at our first Oozemas in 2019, pre-COVID. Not only were local kids able to take home gifts, Santa came with 3 adorable, fluffy alpacas in tow for photos. And if that wasn’t enough to make a lot of kids smile, we also had a craft room, coney dog lunch, and even a dance party.

It’s safe to say it was a Happy Oozegiving and a Merry Oozemas in 2022. Thank you for your continued support and love of Ooze products that allows us to give back to the city we love. We’re proud to be a part of the Ooze Foundation and can’t wait to see what 2023 brings.
