One of the beautiful things about is their focus on community and giving back.
Perhaps because cannabis itself has been marginalized for so long that business owners know what it feels like to be on the outside.
For example, earlier this year, in Detroit donated $15,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. But they also wanted to give their customers a chance to give.
So for two months, customers had the option of rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar .
Now Ooze Wholesale, along with the Shelby Jane Seyburn Foundation, have come together to brighten the holidays for children.
Hundreds of Children to Receive Toys
Tens of thousands of children in our community go without toys and other gifts each Christmas season.
So in Oak Park and the joined forces to lower the number this year.
Together, they organized the cooperative efforts of 21 Metro Detroit provisioning centers in collecting brand new toys from their generous customers over the past several weeks.
A Huge Toy Giveaway Party
This Sunday in Detroit, there will be toys for more than 500 area boys and girls who otherwise would have gone without. The children will receive their presents from Santa, his reindeer, and 100 volunteer elves. But there’s more.
There will also be arts and crafts tables, a tattoo station for kids, and holiday movies. And no Christmas party would be complete without a photo with Santa.
“In providing toys for these great kids it makes me happy knowing we can do our small part in making sure they have a wonderful Christmas,” said Ooze Wholesale President, Dan Hannawa.
Director of the Shelby Jane Seyburn Foundation Alisa Seyburn added, “We are honored to collaborate with Ooze Wholesale in bringing some joy and love into the hearts of these wonderful children.”
